Appearance of the plant

Graceful, pinnate leaves with narrow, fresh green leaf segments

Multiple slender stems that together create a full, tropical forest shape

In pots usually 120–200 cm tall, but can grow indoors to about 250 cm

Location

Bright spot with lots of indirect sunlight

Also tolerates partial shade, but grows fuller and fresher in sufficient light

Avoid prolonged bright midday sun to prevent leaf burn

Water requirement

Keep the potting soil slightly moist, but avoid wet roots

Water regularly in spring and summer; water a little more sparingly in winter

Likes higher humidity, occasional misting helps

Winter hardiness

Not winter hardy, only suitable as a houseplant

Minimum temperature: approx. 15°C
