Appearance of the plant
Large, oval leaves with a striking pattern of light and dark green stripes
Deep purple leaf underside that adds extra color, especially visible when the leaves are moving

Bright spot with lots of indirect sunlight
Also tolerates partial shade; avoid direct sunlight to prevent leaf burn.
Ideal in rooms with higher humidity, such as a bathroom with a window or conservatory

Preferably use rainwater or decalcified water to avoid leaf damage.
Give a little more water in spring and summer, and slightly less in winter
