In pots it usually grows to a height of 100–200 cm, in open ground it can reach 3–5 metres.
Location
The Ficus Carica thrives best in a sunny spot, ideal for outdoors in full sun or in a bright spot indoors.
This plant likes warmth and can be planted in pots or directly in the ground.
Water requirement
Water regularly during the growing season, but allow the top layer of potting soil to dry out slightly.
Water more often in a pot than in open ground
Water very sparingly in winter, especially when it loses its leaves
Winter hardiness
Moderately winter hardy: tolerates temperatures down to approx. -10°C in a sheltered location
Protect young plants against severe frost with fleece or overwinter indoors
