Slender, smooth trunk that becomes clearly visible in mature specimens
In pots usually 150–250 cm high, in open ground in warm climates much taller

Sunny to partially shaded spot
Preferably indoors in a very bright place with several hours of direct sunlight.
Place outside on the terrace or balcony in the summer for extra growth power

Water moderately: allow the top layer of potting soil to dry slightly before watering again.
Water more often in spring and summer, more sparingly in winter
Provide good drainage to prevent root rot
