Large, glossy, heart-shaped leaves with characteristic holes and deep cuts

Climbing growth habit; can grow even taller and fuller with support or moss pole

In pots usually 100–250 cm high, depending on support and pruning

Location

Bright spot with lots of indirect sunlight

Also tolerates partial shade, but makes more leaf holes in sufficient light

Avoid prolonged bright midday sun to prevent leaf burn

Water requirement

Water as soon as the top layer of potting soil has dried out slightly.

Water regularly in spring and summer; water sparingly in winter

Likes a slightly higher humidity for nicer leaves

Winter hardiness

Not winter hardy, only suitable as a houseplant
